Is the person who was killed by a car in Tafilah the same person who would have died had he stayed in Amman, and that the divine decree might have prepared another cause for him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... The point is that his decree has come, the decree of this child... the decree of this child. May Allah reward you with good for explaining it to him and clarifying it for him, if you permit?

The Shaykh : Excuse me, the question is not clear. What do you mean? What do you mean by "his decree"?

The questioner : I mean, is this child's decree... his age is six years old? That is the intent of my words.

The Shaykh : Or does someone die before his appointed time, O Abu Malik?

The questioner : Our Shaykh, we know this matter.

The Shaykh: Then.

The questioner : But I wanted you to explain it to him so that he would receive it from you. May Allah reward you with good, our Shaykh, and may Allah bless you. Please, he is with you, our Shaykh.

The Shaykh: All right.

The questioner: Go ahead.

The Shaykh : I say that this is the matter regarding which the question is asked.

The questioner : How are you, sir?

The Shaykh : Welcome.

The questioner : Sir, of course, we believe in divine decree and destiny, and we believe that a person's lifespan is limited and his hour is written, and so on. But what I want to inquire about is, for example, if a person is written to live six years, whether it is this child or someone else, for example six years, meaning if he did not go from Amman to Tafilah, he would die in Amman within these six years.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : His appointed time ends here.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : What I want to ask is that this person who, for example, was run over in Tafilah, is it necessary that if he had stayed in Amman, he would have been in Amman on someone's hand, or that the divine decree might prepare another cause for him?

The Shaykh : Well, what is the benefit of this question? May Allah bless you?

The questioner : Shaykh, it is just a love of knowledge, no more and no less. We mean, we believe that a person's lifespan is limited, six years, he will die. If he stayed in his house, he would die. But some of the brothers, I tell you, say that the divine decree, on the basis that it is possible, if he did not go, for example, he might stay in his house and fall from the roof, meaning that it is also written that it is at the hand of so-and-so, or that he falls into a well, or that it is also like that.

The Shaykh : My brother, this talk, unfortunately, is not of beneficial knowledge.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : Rather, it is of harmful knowledge, because the Messenger said:
If you open the door to Satan لو تفتح باب الشيطان
.

The questioner : You are correct.

The Shaykh : This is one point.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : And the other.

The questioner: Go ahead.

The Shaykh : The scholar poet says, "The causes multiplied, but death is one."

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : "The causes multiplied, but death is one." So what is our concern that this person who died by being run over, or trampled, or shot, or so on, if he had not been killed by this cause.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : Would he be killed by a second cause at this time?

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : The answer is yes, but what is the benefit of this question?

The questioner : This is the answer I want, that yes, whether by the hand of this person or by another.

The Shaykh : He - the Exalted - said:
So when their time has come فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ
[Al-A'raf 7:34]
.

The questioner : They do not delay.

The Shaykh
they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it]. لَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَةً وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
[Al-A'raf 7:34]
, and he - peace and blessings be upon him - said.

The questioner : (peace and blessings be upon him).

The Shaykh
O people, fear your Lord; for no soul will die until it has completed its provision and its appointed time يا أيها الناس ، اتقوا ربكم ؛ فإن نفسًا لن تموت حتى تستكمل رزقها وأجلها
,
no soul will die until it has received all its provision إن نفسًا لن تموت حتى تستكمل رزقها وأجلها
Sunan Ibn Majah 2144Sahih (Darussalam)
, so this question that you are raising is like if someone said so-and-so died and did not leave a single qirsh.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : I wonder if he had delayed in death, he would not have left a qirsh, and another died and left millions. I wonder if he had delayed in his appointed time, would he leave more or less? What are these questions about which Allah has not sent down any authority?

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : So may Allah bless you, do not ask about things that if they are made clear to you, they will grieve you.

The questioner : ... Sir.

The Shaykh : And peace be upon you.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good, thank you, sir, the Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Welcome.

The questioner : Speak with Shaykh Husayn.

The Shaykh : You are welcome.

The questioner: Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace and the mercy of Allah.

The questioner : ... our Shaykh.
