Ruling on Delaying the Repayment of a Loan Within the Specified Period

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I gave one of the brothers a specific amount for a specific period and swore that I would give it to him within that period. The period passed and I did not give him anything. Do I have a sin on me?

Answer:
This is a promise; this is considered a promise. However, you swore to it. If you swore, you are obligated to fulfill this promise. If you were forgetful and the period passed and you forgot, there is no blame on you. But if you did it intentionally and the specified period passed, you are sinful in that. Also, along with the sin, expiation is obligatory upon you. If you swore that you would give it to him within this period and did not give it intentionally, expiation is obligatory upon you along with repentance.
