The reason for the revelation of Surat al-Duha

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In Surat al-Duha, how was this surah revealed, and what is the occasion for the revelation of: (And the morning brightness* And the night when it becomes still)?

Answer:
Answer: The revelation was delayed to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) became sad because of that. The disbelievers and polytheists spoke and said, "We do not see your Lord except that He has forsaken you," meaning He hates you. So Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) revealed this surah and clarified that He (Glorified and Exalted is He) did not hate the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) nor forsake him. Rather, the revelation was delayed for a reason that was with the Messenger, which was that he had a puppy under his bed, and the angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog. So he ordered it to be taken out, and the revelation returned to him (peace and blessings be upon him), and his eye was pleased by that. (And the morning brightness* And the night when it becomes still), this is an oath from Allah by the day and the night; because they are among the greatest signs of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And Allah swears by what He wills of His creation, whereas the created being does not swear except by Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). He said (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever swears by other than Allah has committed shirk (associating partners with Allah)," and "Do not swear by your fathers. Whoever is swearing, let him swear by Allah or remain silent."
