The Meaning of (al-Mahajjah al-Bayda') as He (peace and blessings be upon him) said

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The noble hadith in which the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “I have left you upon the clear, straight path, its night is like its day, no one deviates from it except one who is destroyed.” My question is about the meaning of the hadith. What is meant by (al-Mahajjah al-Bayda') as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said? Is the meaning the Qur'an and the Sunnah, or does it have another meaning, which is (al-Mahajjah al-Bayda')?

Answer:
Answer: The wording of the transmitted hadith is (I have left you upon the clear, straight path, no one deviates from it except one who is destroyed), and (al-Bayda') is the main road, and (al-Mahajjah) is the main road, and it is the path of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions and the Salaf of the Ummah. This is al-Mahajjah and the path that the Khalaf must follow and proceed upon, emulating the great role model, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and his Companions, and the imams of the Muslims. This is al-Mahajjah; do not lag behind al-Mahajjah. And this is sufficient, as Allah the Exalted said, (And that this is My straight path, so follow it, and do not follow the ways that will cause you to become divided from His path). So the path of Allah is one, and as for what is other than it, they are many paths, and upon every one of those paths is a Shaytan, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said, calling people to it. So whoever leaves the straight path falls into these many winding paths, and the Shayatins seize him, and the Shayatins drag him away. For this reason, we call upon Allah in Surat al-Fatihah in every prayer, and it is a pillar of (Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have earned Your anger or of those who are astray). Those upon whom Allah has bestowed favor are the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous. (And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger, then those are the ones with whom Allah has bestowed favor, from among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous, and excellent are those as companions). And those who have earned Your anger are the Jews and their like from every scholar who does not act upon his knowledge and does not make it clear to the people, for he is upon the path of the Jews, those who have earned Your anger, because they had knowledge but did not act upon it. And not of those who are astray, and they are the Christians who worship Allah in ignorance and misguidance, without evidence and without truth. And included in this are the misguided Sufis, and included in it are the innovators; all of them fall into misguidance. We ask Allah for safety.
