Reading the Noble Qur'an from the Mushaf in the Obligatory Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it permissible to read from the Mushaf in the obligatory prayer?

Answer:
Answer: No, some imams disapprove of reading from the Mushaf even in voluntary prayers; because the one who looks at the writing while praying is distracted from the prayer, and looking at the writing while a person is praying is a distraction that occupies him; therefore, writing on the walls of the mosque and in front of the worshippers is prohibited; all of this is to prevent the worshippers from being distracted by this. This is only permissible in the Tarawih prayer, or the Tahajjud prayer, if one does not memorize the Qur'an; there is no harm in that. As for the obligatory prayer, one should read whatever is easy of the Qur'an, from the short surahs or verses.
