Beware of Rumors

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Beware of rumors and whispers. From time to time, we hear rumors being spread and whispers. Perhaps Islam has a position on this, O Shaykh?

Answer:
Answer: Yes, this has been the case for a long time. The hypocrites, the disbelievers, and those who associate partners with Allah have always had this as their practice with regard to Islam since the first sending of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Allah the Exalted said: {They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light even if the disbelievers dislike it}. So we must be constantly on guard and protect our youth, for they are our wealth and our pillar after Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). We must protect them. This is not limited to a father with his sons, but it is the duty of every man in the Muslim community, including security personnel, ordinary individuals, and especially the scholars and the preachers in the mosques. They must make this looming danger clear to the people, show them how to fight it, and warn them against it. Today is not a day for negligence, turning a blind eye, or reliance on others. Everyone says, "It is the duty of so-and-so or so-and-so." Every person has a duty to the extent of his ability.
