The Manner of the Prostration for Forgetfulness

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q253: The questioner asks: Is the prostration for forgetfulness one prostration, or two prostrations?
A253: The prostration for forgetfulness consists of two prostrations; as is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:
If any one of you is uncertain in his prayer and does not know how many rak'ahs he has prayed, three or four, let him pray one rak'ah and prostrate two prostrations while sitting before the taslim.إذا شك أحدكم في صلاته فلا يدري كم صلى، ثلاثًا أو أربعًا، فليصل ركعة ويسجد سجدتين وهو جالس قبل التسليم
