The smell of smoke during the day in Ramadan
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 16801 )
Q2: There are people at work who smoke, and sometimes I fast the six days of Shawwal. Does the smell of smoke invalidate the fast ? I should mention that, praise be to Allah, I do not smoke.
A2: A person who is fasting does not break his fast if dust or smoke reaches his throat, because this is not by his choice. However, you should advise the smokers to quit and repent, because it is forbidden and a sin.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
