The third and fourth questions of Fatwa No. ( 19373 )
Q3: Is it permissible for a married woman to go for Hajj without her husband's consent, when she is with her relatives, who are her brothers?
A3: It is not permissible for a woman to travel for Hajj except with her husband's permission, unless it is the obligatory Hajj; because her husband has no right to prevent her from it if she has a mahram (a relative one may not marry). It is not permissible for her to travel without a mahram, neither for Hajj nor for anything else; due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih al-Bukhari 1088 A group of women does not suffice in place of a mahram, and the obligatory Hajj and other types are the same in this regard.
