Q2: There is a man who works in a land of shirk (associating partners with Allah), and in Ramadan he was forced to break his fast. When he returned to his country, he died. What is the ruling regarding his case?
A2: If a person dies with fasting from Ramadan remaining, and his awliya (close friends of Allah) wish to fast on his behalf, there is no harm in that; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Riyad as-Salihin 1858 . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
