The 'Aqiqah for the Deceased

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 16591 )
Q2: What is the ruling on the 'Aqiqah for the deceased , and what did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say regarding that?
A2: It is recommended to perform the 'Aqiqah for a newborn, even if he is deceased; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Every boy is mortgaged by his ‘Aqiqahكل غلام مرتهن بعقيقته
Sunan Ibn Majah 3165Hasan (Darussalam)
This includes both the living and the deceased; and because he (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded that two sheep be sacrificed for a boy and one sheep for a girl, without specifying that they must be alive or born alive. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
