The 'Aqiqah for children who died young
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of the fatwa number ( 21095 )
Q5: A man had four children who passed away while they were young, and he did not perform the 'Aqiqah for them , and that was thirty years ago. What should he do now? Should he perform the 'Aqiqah for them, and when?
A5: If he performs the 'Aqiqah for the children who died young, that is better; because the 'Aqiqah is a confirmed recommended practice (sunnah muakkadah). And if he did not perform it for them, he owes nothing, knowing that for a male child, the 'Aqiqah is performed with two sheep, and for a female child, it is performed with one sheep. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
