A father sacrificed a sheep for his son, then the son died; is he required to perform the second sacrifice?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A husband was blessed by Allah with a male child, and he sacrificed a sheep for him as the 'aqiqah, but then the child died. Should he sacrifice another one for him, or is the first one sufficient? The Shaykh: Why did he limit it to one sheep in the first instance? The questioner: Because the child was ill, he settled for just the sheep.

The Shaykh: There is no power or might except with Allah,As if he is saying: I gave you, O Lord, half of one, and I will give you half of the 'aqiqah, or what? The questioner: I did not ask him, O Shaykh! But this is his question.

The Shaykh: In any case, if this is his view, it is incorrect, and he must repent to Allah (Mighty and Majestic). As for the second 'aqiqah, he should perform it whether the child remains alive or has died.
