The second question of Fatwa No. ( 20768 )
Q2: Since my accident, two years have passed and I was unable to fast during them. I fed a poor person for each day. I have made up one month, and one month remains. Is it obligatory to make up the fast, or is the feeding I provided sufficient? And praise be to Allah, I am now able to fast Ramadan, though I am still ill from the paralysis. Please issue a ruling on this matter.
A2: If you are able to make up the days you missed from Ramadan, then it is obligatory for you to make them up, and feeding is not sufficient for you; because feeding is not sufficient except for one who is unable to make up the fast. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
