Cutting Trees in the Sacred Precinct

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 18712 )
Q: My mother says that she performed Hajj about thirty years ago, and during that Hajj she committed some of the prohibited acts out of ignorance. Among those prohibited acts, she cut down some of the trees that were in the tent. One of the women present told her that this would invalidate her Hajj. What is the ruling in this matter? Then, when she went up to 'Arafah and saw the Mount of Mercy and saw the horn erected on top of it, she thought it was Satan, so she stood up and cursed it more than once. And during the stoning of the pillars, amidst the crowd, she threw the pebbles all at once , and she did not know if any of them fell inside the pool or not. Knowing that all of this was done out of ignorance and lack of knowledge, she performed Hajj again in 1416 AH, fearing that the first Hajj might not have been a valid Hajj. I ask you, O honorable Shaykh, to kindly answer these questions.
A : Your mother's Hajj is valid, if Allah wills, and she owes nothing for the trees she cut in the sacred precinct while ignorant of its ruling. As for the stoning of the pillars that she did all at once, it is not sufficient, and she has to slaughter a sheep in Makkah that is acceptable as a
sacrifice for 'Id al-Adha and distribute it to the poor of the sacred precinct or appoint someone to slaughter it. If she is unable to slaughter it due to financial constraints, she should fast for ten days. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
