Among the mistakes of the pilgrim is facing something other than the Ka'bah in prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 20167 )
Q3: Many pilgrims do not sleep in Mina on the Day of Tarwiyah, but rather sleep in 'Arafah , even though the pilgrims have tents in Mina , as well as in 'Arafah . Instead of the pilgrims incurring extra costs, they sleep in Mina and follow the Sunnah, and then they go out to Masjid Namirah for prayer, and after that they go to stand on Mount 'Arafah . They avoid the innovative, and perhaps shirky, prayer, for some pray voluntary prayers facing the Ka'bah , while others face the Mount of Mercy with their voluntary prayer, as they claim.
A3 : Staying overnight in Mina on the Day of Tarwiyah, the night of the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah, is a recommended practice (sunnah) and not obligatory. So if one leaves it, he owes nothing, whether he stays overnight in 'Arafah or elsewhere. The qiblah in prayer is the noble Ka'bah , and it is not permissible to face Mount 'Arafah or anything else in prayer. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
