Fatwa number ( 13940 )
Q: Whatis the ruling on a woman who was prevented from performing the tawaf of departure by menstruation, despite her taking medication, and she returned to her home and her husband had intercourse with her, knowing that she performed Hajj in 1409 AH and she works in the Kingdom in the city ofNajran, can she perform the tawaf of departure next year and at what time? And does she have to perform only the tawaf, or the tawaf and a sacrifice? And does the sacrifice suffice for that, or does she owe nothing? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
A : It is obligatory for you to return to Makkah to make up the tawaf al-ifadhah; because it is a pillar
of the pillars of Hajj and is not dropped under any circumstance. It is also obligatory for you to slaughter a sheep that is valid as an 'Id sacrifice in Makkah and distribute it to the poor; because intercourse occurred before the tawaf al-ifadhah. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
