Fatwa number ( 16441 )
Q: I performed 'Umrah in the last ten days of this year, 1413 AH. After entering ihram and reaching the Haram, I felt fatigue in my head and my entire body. Then I intended to make a condition, then I went down to perform tawaf, then I completed one circuit, then I went out and removed my ihram. My condition was made when I went down to the courtyard. I know that I am unable to return again, even if I took some rest, because the same thing happened to me last year, but more severely, as I fell to the ground, blood came out of me, and I was injured, as I suffer from epilepsy. Do I repeat the 'Umrah, or is a sacrificial animal required of me, or do I feed a poor person? Please inform us, may Allah preserve you.
A: The condition is not in its proper place; because it was delayed from its time, as the time for making a condition is at the time of entering ihram. So your ruling is the ruling of one who is prevented (muhassar), and a sacrificial animal is required of you to be slaughtered in the place where you were prevented, and distributed to the poor in that place
and you must avoid the prohibitions of ihram until you slaughter the aforementioned sacrificial animal. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
