Q: What is the miqat of ihram for Nigerian pilgrims and performers of 'Umrah ?
A : Whoever intends to perform Hajj or 'Umrah must enter the state of ihram from the miqat he passes by or aligns with, whether by land, sea, or air, from the five miqats designated by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), which are: Dhu al-Hulayfah for the people of Madinah and those who come via their route, al-Juhfah for the people of the Levant and Egypt and the Maghreb and those who come via their route, Yalamlam for the people of Yemen and those who come via their route, Qarn al-Manazil for the people of Najd and those who come via their route, and Dhat 'Irq for the people of Iraq and those who come via their route; based on his statement (peace and blessings be upon him) when he designated these miqats:Sunan al-Bayhaqi 4:296 . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
