The Miqat Boundaries for Ihram for Those South of the Kingdom

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says in his question: I am Egyptian and a resident of Khamis Mushait, and if Allah wills, I want to perform the obligatory Hajj this year. I want to know from which place one enters the state of ihram for Hajj?

Answer:
One enters the state of ihram from the Miqat of Ta'if, the Miqat of Najd, if you come via the route of Ta'if; you enter ihram from al-Sail, Wadi Qarn. And if you come via the mountain route; you enter ihram from Yalamlum, the Miqat of the people of Yemen. This is what is prescribed; because when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) designated the five miqat boundaries: Dhu al-Hulayfah, al-Juhfah, Qarn al-Manazil, Yalamlum, and Dhat 'Irq, he said:
and those (Mawaqit) are also meant for those who live at these (places) and for those too who come from without towards them for the sake of Hajj or 'Umraهن لهن، ولمن أتى عليهن، من غير أهلهن، ممن أراد الحج والعمرة
Sahih Muslim 1181a
.
So if you come via the route of Ta'if; you enter ihram from al-Sail. From the route of Yemen, you enter ihram from Yalamlum, the Miqat of the people of Yemen. If you start from Madinah; you enter ihram from the Miqat of Madinah. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
