Q1: A woman says: The menstrual period came to her in the blessed month of Ramadan and continued with her for four days, while the usual duration of the period is seven days. When it was the sixth day, she took a bath after the blood had stopped for the entire fifth day. Then she entered ihram for 'Umrah immediately after the bath on the sixth day and made the intention for it. She prayed the midday prayer at their home located in the al-Bahah region, and then she set out to travel with her family, intending the Noble Makkah to perform the obligatory 'Umrah. When she arrived at the miqat, " Wadi Mahram ," at exactly five in the afternoon, she found traces of the period in the form of yellowish discharge and was not certain at that moment of her purity. So she made the intention for 'Umrah at the miqat after confirming her purity, meaning: she delayed the 'Umrah until seeing complete purity. After their arrival in Makkah , two days later she became pure and entered ihram for 'Umrah from the apartment located inside the Haram , and she performed the 'Umrah
Is her 'Umrah considered valid, and what must she do if the 'Umrah is not valid? Please inform us, may Allah reward you
A1 : If the menstruating woman made the intention for 'Umrah and entered ihram for it from the miqat, and delayed the tawaf and sa'y until after her purity, then her 'Umrah is valid and she owes nothing. However, if she delayed the intention of entering ihram for 'Umrah until she became pure in the apartment in Makkah , and then made the intention of entering ihram from the apartment, then her 'Umrah is valid, but she must offer a sacrificial animal for delaying the intention of entering ihram from the miqat. It is a head of livestock that is acceptable for the 'Id sacrifice, to be slaughtered in Makkah and distributed to the poor therein. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
