Explanation of the reason for Iblis's expulsion from Paradise and his being cursed

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q 123: The questioner says: Iblis was expelled from Paradise after he refused to prostrate to Adam, so where was the whispering?
A 123: Iblis was expelled from Paradise when he disobeyed Allah, as Allah the Exalted said:
And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.
[Al-Baqarah 2:34]
, and this prostration to Adam was a prostration of greeting, not a prostration of worship, but Allah commanded it. So when Allah commands something, obedience to Him (Glorified and Exalted is He) is obligatory. Thus, Iblis disobeyed his Lord and went astray, while Adam sinned, then sought forgiveness, and Allah forgave him. As for Iblis, he argued with divine decree and said:
[Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them allقَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
[Al-Hijr 15:39]

He did not say: "I went astray," but rather he said: "You are the one who led me astray." This is from the doctrine of compulsion, and I seek refuge in Allah; it is the doctrine of the Jabriyyah. So Iblis, and I seek refuge in Allah, deliberately disobeyed the command of his Lord, so Allah expelled him from His mercy and distanced Him as a punishment for him.
