Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 18456 )
Q1: I used to work in a factory specifically dealing with pork. I worked in this factory for six months, and the money I earned from this work reached the nisab and a lunar year passed over it, so I paid zakah on it. Then I started working in another factory, and the money I earned from this work was halal. I mixed this halal amount with the amount I had earned from the work specifically involving pork. Now I am paying zakah on the whole, but when
I was working with pork, I was misguided; I did not pray or fast. Then I repented to Allah, with Allah’s help, Mighty and Majestic. The summary of the question is: What is the Islamic ruling on this mixed money? Do I pay zakah on the whole? Because I do not know the exact amount I earned from the pork, so I pay zakah on the whole. Does the hadith apply to it: ? I ask you to clarify, and may Allah reward you. .
A1: The most cautious course is to estimate the money you earned from the work involving pork, then give it in charity with the intention of getting rid of it, along with repenting to Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, for what happened from you. And Allah accepts the repentance of those who repent. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
