What is the wisdom behind the prohibition of pork?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the wisdom behind the prohibition of pork? I hope you will provide us with information?

The Shaykh : The wisdom behind the prohibition of pork is that it is *rajis* (impure), as Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) said:
Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine - for indeed, it is impure قُلْ لا أَجِدُ فِي مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَى طَاعِمٍ يَطْعَمُهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ مَيْتَةً أَوْ دَمًا مَسْفُوحًا أَوْ لَحْمَ خِنزِيرٍ فَإِنَّهُ رِجْسٌ
[Al-An'am 6:145]
And *rajis* is impurity. This is the wisdom behind the prohibition of pork.
For this reason, the disbelievers among the Jews, the Christians, and others have considered it permissible, because the wisdom of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) necessitated that the evil are for the evil, and the evil are for the evil.
