Q: We are a group of Muslims in ( New Zealand ) who own shops and stores for selling foodstuffs, and we sell pork. Some of us sell it fresh, others canned, and some frozen, because customers do not come if it is not available in the stores. We sell it at cost price without any profit. Is that permissible for us?
A: It is not permissible to sell pork or to eat its price, because Allah has forbidden pork, as in His saying:[Al-Ma'idah 5:3] And He said in the other verse:
And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Ibn Hibban 26:35 Therefore, it is not permissible to sell it on the pretext of attracting customers or otherwise, for the lawful is sufficient without the unlawful. Allah said: [At-Talaq 65:2-3] , and all praise is due to Allah. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنْـزِيرِfor it is an impurity
فَإِنَّهُ رِجْسٌAnd the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Indeed, when Allah forbids something, He forbids its price
إن الله إذا حرم شيئًا حرم ثمنهAnd whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out (3) And will provide for him from where he does not expect.
وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا (2) وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ يَحْتَسِبُ
