Preserving the property of minors and not disposing of it except in their interest

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 21077 )
Q: Your Eminence, my father passed away in 1416 AH after being struck by lightning. He left behind (9) children, and I am their eldest brother. They are (5) males and (4) females, all from the same mother and father. Two of the females are married. The seven of them, along with their mother, entered into social security, so they collected a sum of money along with what they receive from people of goodness and virtue in the month of Ramadan. We have proposed one of the sons to a relative, as we wish to marry him off so that his lack of marriage does not become a cause for his deviation, God forbid. The question, Your Eminence, is: Is it permissible to marry him off from this amount, which comes from social security, from people of goodness, and from the price of the sheep our father (may Allah have mercy on him) left behind? Knowing that I will calculate everything spent on this marriage from this amount and record it as a debt for him to pay off when he gets a job.
If the answer is no, what should we do, since the proposal has already been made and we are waiting for the holiday after Hajj? May Allah reward you with good and benefit from your work.

A: It is not permissible to take anything from the property of the minors, whether it is inheritance, charity, or otherwise, for the specific benefit of one of them. Rather, it is obligatory to preserve it and grow it for them, spend on them from it in a good manner, and pay it to them when they reach maturity. Accordingly, it is obligatory for you to marry your brother from his specific share and from what is donated specifically for him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
