The second question of Fatwa number ( 21600 )
Q2: They say that the one who dies without leaving a bequest will not speak with the dead; is this true?
A2: This is a defective belief with no basis. A bequest of some wealth after a person’s death, to be spent in the causes of righteousness so that he benefits from its reward after his death, is a recommended practice and not obligatory. Whoever does it receives the reward, and whoever leaves it off commits no sin. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
