Q: I wish to bequeath one-fifth of my property to my son’s children, as he passed away before me and they are young in age, I ask for your ruling on this matter
A: It is permissible for you to bequeath to the children of your son who died during your lifetime one-third or less of your wealth; because they are not your heirs, there is no harm in making a bequest to them.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
