Dealing with a son who neglects the congregational prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: I have a son who is thirty years old, married, and living with me in an apartment on the upper floor, separate from mine, as I live on the lower floor. Before his marriage, he was consistent in performing the prayer in congregation , but after his marriage, he became lazy about performing the prayer until he reached the point of abandoning prayer in the mosque. I ordered him to pray, rang the doorbell, and spoke with him, but to no avail. I asked people of good and committed young men to visit him, and they did so—may Allah reward them with good—but to no benefit. Finally, I threatened to evict him from the house if he continued in his current state, but again to no avail. I am aware that if I evicted him, he might associate with bad company in his home without supervision and bring in instruments of amusement, which I forbid him from having. The question I hope to have answered is: What
should I do regarding that son? Is it obligatory for me to evict him? And am I sinful if I keep him?

A: If he is praying at home and you fear that evicting him would lead to an increase in evil for him, then you should leave him in your home and continue advising him, and do not despair of his guidance.
