Does the traveler pray the rawatib?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The sixth question of Fatwa No. ( 18083 )
Q 6: Is the traveler obligated to perform the rawatib sunnahs ?
A 6: It is not prescribed for the traveler who shortens the prayer to perform the rawatib sunnahs; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform them when he shortened the prayer while traveling, as it is established from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said:
I accompanied the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) during the journey, he did not pray more than two raka'at until his death.صحبت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فلم يزد على ركعتين حتى قبضه الله
Sunan Abi Dawud 1223Sahih (Al-Albani)
....... ) The hadith is agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. As for the rawatib of Fajr, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not leave it, whether resident or traveling, and likewise witr and tahajjud at night. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
