Q 2: Is it permissible to pray the voluntary prayer in eight rak'ahs without
the closing salam?
A 2: The voluntary prayer is prayed in pairs, with the salam said after every two rak'ahs, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sunan Abi Dawud 1295Sahih (Al-Albani) . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
