Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa number ( 20791 )
Q2: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The closest that the Lord is to a worshipper is during the last part of the night, so if you are able to be of those who remember Allah in that hour, then do so.أقرب ما يكون الرب من العبد في جوف الليل الآخر، فإن استطعت أن تكون ممن يذكر الله في تلك الساعة فكن
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3579Sahih (Darussalam)
What is meant by that hour? Is it true that it is two hours before Fajr?

A2: The hadith was narrated by al-Tirmidhi in his Sunan, and he said: This is a good, authentic, and strange hadith from this route. The hour referred to is the specific period mentioned in the hadith, which is the latter part of the night. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
