The Commitment of Imams and Mu'adhhdhins to Regular Attendance

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q57: It is a favor from Allah upon us that the authorities have been keen to establish a specific system for the imams of the Civil Defense mosques, whereby they receive a reward in exchange for performing the adhan, leading the prayer, and serving the mosque, in addition to their main job:
A. What is the ruling on neglecting this system by not attending except during the imam's working hours and being absent at other times, or by leaving the job due to a shift or leave without appointing a substitute, or by any other neglect of this system? B. What is the ruling on performing this work with the intention of obtaining the reward only?

A57: A. It is obligatory for everyone entrusted with a task to perform it as they were entrusted, and it is not permissible for them to neglect it. If the imam is qualified, he should appoint a suitable person to lead the prayer in his place. B. The Muslim performs these acts desiring the reward of the Hereafter and fears that his intention may be for the sake of this world, out of fear of the warning contained in the like of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
(15) Whoever desires the life of this world and its adornments - We fully repay them for their deeds therein, and they therein will not be deprived. (16) Those are the ones for whom there is not in the Hereafter but the Fire. And lost is what they did therein, and worthless is what they used to do.
[Hud 11:15-16]
. In religious positions, sincerity of intention and seeking reward from Allah are emphasized.
