The obligation to maintain work hours

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: I work outside Makkah al-Mukarramah, where the drive by car takes forty-five minutes or an hour. Sometimes I go out to the hospital or for a need, and my need is finished an hour and a half before the end of work; that is, if I went to work, my stay there would be only half an hour or less. So I stay in Makkah al-Mukarramah; that is, I do not go to work. What is the ruling on that?

Answer: You must strive to control your self and go to work as far as you are able, so that you perform the work as is obligatory upon you. In half an hour, many needs can be fulfilled, so you must perform the work if there is a valid Shari'ah justification for your absence.
