If a person does not pray the witr, is his prayer invalidated?

The first question of Fatwa No. ( 19990 )
Q1: Is the entire day's prayer invalidated, meaning Fajr, Zuhr, 'Asr, Maghrib, and 'Isha, if a Muslim does not pray the witr after 'Isha? Please issue a ruling, and may Allah reward you with good.
A1: The witr prayer is a confirmed sunnah according to the correct opinion of the scholars. For a sunnah, its performer is rewarded and its abandoner is not punished. Therefore, abandoning a sunnah does not invalidate the obligatory prayers performed before or after the witr. Rather, it is only shirk (associating partners with Allah) or apostasy from Islam, may Allah protect us from that, or the neglect of one of its pillars or one of its conditions that invalidates and nullifies them. It is therefore incumbent upon every Muslim man and woman to strive to perform the witr prayer, following the example of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). It is authentically reported from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he was consistent in performing the witr prayer and did not abandon it, whether resident or traveling. It is also prescribed for every Muslim man and woman not to miss out on this great reward and abundant recompense from Allah the Exalted. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
