One who arrives while the imam is bowing bows with him, and that counts as his rak'ah

The third question from fatwa number ( 19296 )
Q 3: You mentioned in your book (Tuhfat al-Ikhwan), page 99, line 3: "One who arrives while the imam is bowing bows with him, and that counts as his rak'ah, and the recitation is dropped from him." Does the takbir of entering prayer also drop, and does the takbir of bowing suffice for it, or does he say the takbir of entering prayer and then bow?
A 3: It is obligatory for one who arrives while the imam is bowing to say the takbir of entering prayer while standing, and this takbir is a pillar of the prayer. Then he says a second takbir for bowing, and this takbir is a recommended practice in this place; if he leaves it out, he owes nothing. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
