The first question of Fatwa number ( 16652 )
Q 9: What are the times in which voluntary prayer is not valid ?
A 1: The times in which prayer is prohibited are: from the dawn of Fajr until the sun has risen, from the sun standing in the middle of the sky until it declines, and from the 'Asr prayer until the sun sets. It is permissible to perform prayers with a specific cause during the prohibited times according to the stronger of the two opinions of the scholars; such as the eclipse prayer, the two rak'ahs of tawaf, and the greeting of the mosque. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
