The ruling on praying the greeting of the mosque before Maghrib

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A person entered the mosque about fifteen minutes, ten minutes, or less before the Maghrib adhan. Does this person have to pray two rak'ahs as the greeting of the mosque? Or should he remain standing until the adhan for Maghrib is called?

Answer:
The Sunnah is for a person to pray two rak'ahs whenever he enters, even if it is before sunset; due to the generality of the statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
If anyone of you enters a Mosque, he should not sit until he has offered a tworak` at prayer.إذا دخل أحدكم المسجد فلا يجلس حتى يصلي ركعتين
Sahih al-Bukhari 1167
. These two rak'ahs are among the prayers with a cause, and they do not have a prohibited time, just as prostration of recitation and the eclipse prayer do not. If the sun is ever eclipsed, people pray for the eclipse even if it is after 'Asr. So the ruling on the two rak'ahs of the greeting is the ruling of prayers with a cause; they do not have a prohibited time. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
