Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 21191 )
Q 2: Is it permissible for a woman to pray the greeting of the mosque when she enters, even if her entry is for something other than prayer, such as attending a religious lecture?
A 2: It is recommended (sunnah) for a woman to pray the greeting of the mosque when she enters the mosque, and she should not sit until she has prayed the greeting of the mosque, due to the generality of the hadith on this matter from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If anyone of you enters a Mosque, he should not sit until he has offered a tworak` at prayer.إذا دخل أحدكم المسجد فلا يجلس حتى يصلي ركعتين
Sahih al-Bukhari 1167
, agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
