The prayer performed after the obligatory prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 16805 )
Q1: What are the prayers performed after the obligatory prayer, especially after the Friday prayer?
A1: They are the rawatib (the regular voluntary prayers attached to the obligatory ones), namely four rak'ahs before the midday prayer, two rak'ahs after the midday prayer, two rak'ahs after the sunset prayer, two rak'ahs after the night prayer, and two rak'ahs before the dawn prayer. It is narrated from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said:
I prayed along with God’s Messenger two rak'as before and two rak'as after the noon prayer, two after the sunset prayer in his house, and two after the evening prayer in his house.حفظت عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ركعتين قبل الظهر وركعتين بعدها وركعتين بعد المغرب وركعتين بعد العشاء وركعتين قبل الغداة - الفجر -
Mishkat al-Masabih 1160
It was narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim . It is also narrated from 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said:
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah never entrusted his purification to anyone nor his charity that he had given to anyone; he would be the one to take care of these matters himself."كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لا يدع أربعًا قبل الظهر
Sunan Ibn Majah 362Da'if (Darussalam)
It was narrated by al-Bukhari in (his Sahih). As for the Friday prayer, there is no rawatib before it, but it is recommended to perform voluntary prayer before it with whatever number of rak'ahs is easy, saying the closing salam after every two rak'ahs. As for after it, it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
If anyone of you prays after the Friday prayer, he should say for rak'ahs.من كان مصليا بعد الجمعة فليصل بعدها أربعًا
Sunan Abi Dawud 1131Sahih (Al-Albani)
It was narrated by Muslim in (his Sahih). It is also established that he (peace and blessings be upon him)
used to pray two rak'ahs after the Friday prayer in his house. Its authenticity is agreed upon. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
