Q: An imam recites Surat al-Tin during the Maghrib prayer and at the end
of the verse, when Allah the Exalted says:[At-Tin 95:8], the imam says, "Yes, and we are among the witnesses to that," and he recites it aloud. Has any text been reported regarding this? And is there any sin on the one who recites this in this reading?
A: It has not been established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he says after reciting Surat al-Tin what was mentioned in the question or anything else. Therefore, it is obligatory to leave that off; because of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih Muslim 1718b . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
