Touching the Mushaf by one in a state of major ritual impurity
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q2: There is a man who reads the Qur'an from the book every day. One night, he found himself in a state of major ritual impurity and feared the same situation as in the first question. Is he sinful for touching the Book of Allah, and what is his expiation? He has not missed a day of reading, except when he had an excuse regarding water.
A2: It is not permissible for one in a state of major ritual impurity to touch the Mushaf, nor to read the Qur'an, until he performs the full ritual bath to remove the state of major ritual impurity. Whoever touches it while in a state of major ritual impurity, or reads it, must seek forgiveness and repent to Allah the Exalted. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
