Ruling on touching a non-mahram woman
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 16132 )
Q: My father owns a shop, and he often has to touch women’s hands when pulling and pushing. Does he have to perform wudu’ because of touching the woman, despite the great difficulty? Please give us a ruling, may Allah reward you.
A: It is obligatory for a man to avoid touching a non-mahram woman, but if some touching occurs unintentionally, as in your father’s case, he is excused, and his wudu’ is not invalidated by it.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
