Wearing socks without being in a state of ritual purity
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 18209 )
Q 4: If I put on socks while in a state of ritual purity, then I became ritually impure and wiped over them, then I became ritually impure again and took them off while in a state of impurity, and then I put them back on. Should I wipe over them or not?
A 4: If you put on the socks while not in a state of ritual purity, it is not permissible to wipe over them; because the condition for wiping over them is that they be put on while in a state of ritual purity; due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) when he intended to remove his leather socks:Sahih al-Bukhari 206 .
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
