The Tawruk in Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q25: It is mentioned in the hadith:
The Imam is to be followedإنما جعل الإمام ليؤتم به
Sahih al-Bukhari 1236
If we are latecomers and the imam is in the last rak'ah and sits in the sitting of tawruk, do we sit in the same manner in accordance with the hadith?

A25: Tawruk is a recommended practice (sunnah) in the final tashahhud of every prayer that has two tashahhuds, so it occurs in Maghrib, Zuhr, 'Asr, and 'Isha. As for Fajr, Jumu'ah, and every two-rak'ah prayer, whether shortened or voluntary, there is no tawruk in them. So tawruk occurs in the tashahhud that is followed by the taslim from the three-rak'ah
and four-rak'ah prayers. If the ma'mum is a latecomer and joins the imam in the second rak'ah, then when the imam sits for the final tashahhud, this latecomer will still have one rak'ah remaining, so he does not perform tawruk in this case; because his tawruk, although it is the final tashahhud with respect to his imam, is not the final tashahhud with respect to him. But if he makes up the prayer after the imam's taslim and sits for the final tashahhud, then he performs tawruk.
