Working away from his family and returning to them at the end of the week: Does he avail himself of the dispensations of travel?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 18053 )
Q 1: I am a resident of the city of Jeddah , and my family and children are in Jeddah . I was appointed as a teacher in the city of al-Kharma , which is about 370 km (three hundred and seventy kilometers) from the city of Jeddah . Since I work as a teacher in al-Kharma , I stay in al-Kharma from Saturday until Wednesday noon, and then I head to Jeddah . This is my practice throughout the school year. My question is: Do I shorten the prayer during my stay in al-Kharma or not? And if the prayer is shortened, do I perform the regular voluntary prayers (rawatib) or not? Because this is a matter of inquiry for me and for those who are in a similar situation among teachers and employees?
A 1: During your stay in your place of work, whether you are alone or with your family, it is obligatory for you to complete the prayer; because you intended to stay for more than four days, so the rulings of travel are severed for you, and likewise for your fellow teachers. It is recommended for you to perform the rawatib (regular voluntary prayers) attached to the obligatory prayers.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
