Q: My husband travels constantly to Belgium , and we are in Alexandria . His plane departs from Cairo at the time of the Zuhr adhan, and he does not arrive at his destination until night. So he prays Fajr while present, then prays Zuhr and 'Asr shortened, combining them as an early combination after the Fajr prayer, and then begins his journey to Cairo by bus, and from there abroad, arriving at night. That is, he remains a traveler all day long. Is his prayer of Zuhr and 'Asr after the Fajr prayer valid, and if not, what must he do? May Allah reward you with good and keep you safe. Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and blessings.
A: Your husband's prayer of Zuhr and 'Asr after the Fajr prayer is not valid; because the time for Zuhr has not entered. It is obligatory for him to pray Fajr in its time, then pray Zuhr and 'Asr as an early combination after the time for Zuhr enters, or to pray them as a late combination after the time for 'Asr enters, and before sunset. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
