The traveler found a congregation praying 'Asr and joined them with the intention of Zuhr

Fatwa number ( 14059 )
Q: We traveled from Hail to Makkah , and during our journey we arrived at a congregation praying 'Asr, while we had not yet prayed Zuhr. We were combining prayers. One of us prayed with the congregation, and another prayed Zuhr alone and then caught up with the congregation. The one who prayed 'Asr completed the prayer with the congregation, and after the taslim, he prayed Zuhr. We ask for clarification of the correct ruling.
A: First: If a traveler delays the Zuhr prayer until 'Asr, it is obligatory to maintain the order, so he prays Zuhr first, then 'Asr. If he finds the mosque congregation praying 'Asr, he joins them with the intention of Zuhr, and after the taslim, he prays 'Asr, even if alone. As for the one who prays 'Asr and then Zuhr, he must repeat 'Asr. Second: If a traveler prays behind someone who completes the prayer, he must complete it; because that is what is prescribed for him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
