Q: Is it permissible for a stammerer to lead the prayer, specifically one who changes the sin to a tha, especially when he recites: (an-nafs) he recites it as (an-nafth)?
A : It is not permissible for a stammerer who cannot recite Surat al-Fatihah correctly except with someone like him to lead the prayer; because he is unable to perform the correct recitation of Surat al-Fatihah, which is a pillar of the prayer. However, if he recites al-Fatihah correctly, there is no harm in his leading the prayer, and it is better to seek someone else who
is skilled in recitation. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
