What is the ruling on reciting al-Fatihah behind the imam in the loud prayers?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. I heard it, but to be sure, regarding the recitation of Surat al-Fatihah behind the imam in the loud prayers, the ruling is, as we heard you mention, that it is not permissible, or that the imam's recitation serves as the recitation for the one praying behind him?

The Shaykh : We say, for the sake of clarification and explanation, that the one who prays behind the imam in the loud prayers is considered to have recited, as long as he hears the imam's recitation. The imam's recitation is his recitation. However, if he does not hear it because he is far from the imam's voice, or the imam's voice is faint, or, may Allah forbid, the follower behind the imam has a hearing problem, then he should recite. But as long as he hears it, the imam's recitation is his recitation. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indicated in an authentic hadith that listening to the recitation of another is more beneficial than a person reciting for himself. That is his saying (peace be upon him) when he ordered Abdullah ibn Mas'ud to recite, saying to him:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to me, "Recite (of the Qur'an) for me," I said, "Shall I recite it to you although it had been revealed to you?" He said, "I like to hear (the Qur'an) from others." اقرأ عليّ القرآن ، قال: أقرأ وعليك أنزل !؟ قال: اقرأ فإنّي أحبّ أن أسمعه من غيري
Sahih al-Bukhari 4582
So when the follower hears the imam's recitation, it is not only his recitation, but it is better for him, especially than occupying himself with reciting while the imam raises his voice in recitation. Here, one of two prohibited things must occur. The first is that the imam disturbs the follower because he raises his voice, and this is a reality. Therefore, you will find some followers, in order to counter the disturbance of the imam's loud recitation, raise their own voices. So if the imam did not disturb him, he has disturbed the imam or those around him. And here comes his saying (peace be upon him):
Why do I compete with the Qur'an? You have confused the recitation for me. مالي أنازع القرآن خلطتم عليّ القراءة
So if he hears it, the imam's recitation is his recitation. If he does not hear it, he recites. Welcome to you all, oh Allah.

Another questioner : First, I want you to defend me. I was truly wronged because of you.

The Shaykh : May Allah reward you with good.

Another questioner : May Allah bless you.

The Shaykh : And in the path of Allah.

Another questioner : If Allah wills. As for the other question...
